The ACORN Institute (AI) uses research and training to combat the poverty, discrimination and community deterioration that keeps low-income people from taking advantage of their rights and opportunities.  AI is a nationally respected provider of training and technical assistance in organizing principles and methods, a center for research and public policy development on issues of economic and social justice, and a provider of various services to low- to moderate-income individuals.  A 501(c)3 public charity founded in 2000, AI brings together an experienced team of trainers, financial educators, tax preparers, benefits assistance specialists, development specialists and grassroots leaders.
